Our Centura Connection

Here at SLVRMC, what you see isn't all you get!  If you're thinking about "going over the hill" for specialty services; let us save you the trip!  It has been over a year since SLVRMC signed an affiliation agreement with Centura Health, to coordinate efforts that expand the scope of health care services offered and enhance the health status of the residents of the San Luis Valley.

As Colorado's largest hospital and health care network, Centura Health provides access to more than 6,000 physician partners and delivers advanced care to more than half a million people each year, across 13 hospitals, seven senior living communities, medical clinics, affilated partner hospitals, Flight for Life Colorado, and home care and hospice services.

Healthcare Services when You Need It

The partnership with Centura has meant that SLVRMC can provide valley residents and health care providers greater access to shared programs that complement and expand local clinical services, including cardiology, stroke, spine, and trauma.

Within the past year, SLVRMC has instituted an adult cardiology clinic with visiting cardiologists from Colorado Springs; the trauma program has earned a perfect score from the State of Colorado Trauma Review Board.  We have also expanded our cancer care services with the addition of visiting Oncologists.

Most recently, SLVRMC is hosting breast imaging specialists for weekly clinic visits and has 24/7 access to specialists through Centura Connect, a program that links valley physicians to their professional colleagues on the Front Range.
