  • CAD reading unit providing added reading of results
  • New state-of-the-art Ultra Sound Units

Level III Trauma Center

  • Physician coverage 24/7
  • Surgery coverage 24/7
  • 1 Paramedic and One EMT I on per shift, generally
  • Lab/X-Ray available 24/7
  • 1,200 ER visits on average, per month, currently
  • 1,800 Ambulance Runs per year

Intensive Care Unit – 6 Beds – (Only ICU in the Valley)

  • Telemetry equipped (equipment used to constantly monitor patients vitals)

In/Out Patient Surgery Unit

  • Three General Surgeons and an Orthopedic Surgeon currently on staff - recruiting for one more Orthopedic Surgeon

Med/Surg/Pediatric Unit

Nutrition Services

  • Registered Dieticians providing expertise and instruction
  • Obesity Clinic in conjunction with the PRO Center
  • Diabetic training in conjunction with the DEEP clinic

OB/Gyn – (Only OB Services in the Valley)

  • 7 Mother and baby delivery suites and 5 gynecology suites – over 600 births per year
  • Nursing expertise in mother and baby care
  • Low C-Section rate compared to state and national percentages

Oncology/Infusion Center

  • New to the facility providing all types of infusion therapy
  • Navigator on staff to guide people through the insurance process and providing assistance in making medical appointments and tracking instructions and care ordered for patients

Diabetes Education Center

  • Teaching diabetics how to live full healthy lives

PRO Therapy – Outpatient therapy services

PEAK Therapy in Del Norte – located at the old Rio Grande Hospital

  • Providing physical, occupational, speech therapies
  • Expertise and certification in oncology therapies and treatments

Patient and Family Services

  • Assisting patients with insurance and placement post hospital visit issues, discharge orders, and post discharge resources

Pharmacy

  • Full time Pharmacists, including a Pharm D. – (Doctor in Pharmacy)

Physical Rehabilitation Unit

  • Acute physical rehabilitation designed to help patients resume functional daily living after serious injury or an accident leaving them impaired

Physician Services Clinic

  • Currently 20 physicians – 6 mid-level providers (Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners)

Cardio/Pulmonary Services

  • EKG/Stress test
  • Cardiac ultrasound
  • Nuclear medicine
  • Holter Monitor

Specialty Clinics

  • Regional Occupational Medicine (ROMP) providing help to businesses in management of their employees healthcare

Stephanie L. Miner Women’s Imaging Center

  • Newly opened with state of the art equipment and qualified staff to provide imaging services including mammography, bone densitometry, and ultra sound in a quiet comforting environment

Whistle Stop Café is open from 7:30-2:00 PM providing salad bar and full meals to visitors and staff of the hospital.
