Cardiac Rehabilitation Services

Cardiac Rehab is a medically supervised exercise and education program that helps you to safely improve your heart health and overall health while recoving from a cardiac event. Both the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology recommend cardiac rehab programs.

For most anyone who has had a heart attack or a bypass operation, Cardiac Rehab is an effective way to help prevent another one; it is clinically proven to improve a cardiac patient's quality of life and to reduce the recurrence of subsequent heart attacks and related diseases.

No more long car trips

Before the Cardiac Rehab center opened, Valley individuals had to travel a minimum of 150 miles over a mountain pass to receive rehab services that can include 36 sessions. As a consequence providers estimate that only 20% of their patients actually receive cardiac rehabilitation. As the leading cause of death in Colorado and the Valley, "this program has long been anticipated," says Sheridan Moosman, SLVRMC Director of Cardiopulmonary Services.
