Cathy McCurdy, PA-C
Growing up in a home where her father was a doctor who spent much of his career in public health, Cathy had long ago decided her career. At the age of 23, she would become the youngest student of the PA program at the University of Washington in Seattle . Her enjoyment of both rural medicine and the Hispanic culture are what originally drew her to the San Luis Valley. These same passions have afforded her the opportunity to go to Honduras as a student and medical volunteer. "Some of the medical information is not transferable," she says. "But I think the experience of working with people who are really in need kind of brings you back to the center of why you're doing what you're doing." Cathy McCurdy, PA-C, has joined the Monte Vista Physician Services Community Clinic. No stranger to the area, Cathy has worked in Monte Vista and enjoys the patient population here. She looks forward to practicing with Dr. Thomas Goodell as they continue developing a clinic that best serves the community by making it a great place for patients to get what they need.
