HOME
When your doctor decides you are ready to leave the hospital, a
discharge order will be written. You may want to make arrangements
with a family member or friend to help you when it's time to go
home.
Personal Belongings
Collect all of your belongings and double-check closets and drawers.
If you have anything stored in the hospital safe, call the hospital
Information Desk, Ext. 1218. The receptionist will have them ready
when you stop by at check out.
Discharge Instructions
Your doctor and your nurse will give you written instructions about
post-hospital care. If you have additional questions about your
diet, activities or other matters, please be sure to ask.
Home Medical Equipment
The Patient and Family Services representative will arrange for
this equipment from an independent medical equipment company before
you leave the hospital.
