Unit: Certified Nurse Assistant
Job
Overview:
The staff Certified Nurse Assistant is a technical practitioner who functions
as a care giver. The CNA assists the nursing staff in implementing the plan
of care as determined by the Registered Nurse. The CNA is committed to dealing
with departmental issues involving self or other employees in a courteous manner.
You will adhere to all hospital and department policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
Licensure
and/or Certifications Required:
- Colorado
Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate, BLS
Education
Required:
- A
completed certified nursing assistant course at an accredited
institution
Knowledge
and Skills Required:
- ability
to maintain sensitive, confidential information
- ability
to implement individual patient care needs
- competent
with the use of department instruments and equipment
- high
level of energy
- compassion
and patience in dealing with patients and their families
- excellent
communication & organizational skills
Experience
Required
- Prefer
at least one year medical/surgical unit.
Basic
Computer Skills:
- knowledge
of use of electronic media in healthcare facility.
