Licensed Practical Nurse
Job
Overview:
Licensed Practical Nurses provide newborn care in Level I Nursery. You will
be expected to care for the childbearing family as a unit as well as caring
for postpartum and postoperative patients when needs arise. You will work directly
under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

QUALIFICATIONS
Licensure
and/or Certifications Required:
- Basic
life support
- Neonatal
Resuscitation Program
- IV
Therapy
Education
Required:
- Degree
Practical Nursing from accredited institution.
Knowledge
and Skills Required:
- Prepares
equipment and assists physicians during examinations and treatments.
- Maintains
confidentiality of patient records.
- Knowledge
of Labor and Delivery, newborns, postpartum procedures.
- Performs
miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.
- Basic
breastfeeding knowledge and ability to teach new mothers.
Experience
Required:
- A
minimum of 6 months Medical/Surgical or related to duties and
responsibilities preferred.
