Volunteer ActivitiesJoining the SLVRMC Ambassadors (easily recognizable in their navy blue blazers) is a great way to serve the hospital. A Note of Thanks to Our VolunteersSLVRMC has many opportunities for volunteers. As guests enter SLVRMC they are greeted by the warm and caring SLVRMC Ambassadors. Our volunteers will assist guests in locating patient rooms, outpatient services and reception areas. Our volunteers also provide shuttle transportation to your destination to and from outlying parking areas. They will meet guest's needs to assure that all of our patients have a comfortable and welcoming visit. SLVRMC is fortunate to have a diverse Chaplaincy program providing spiritual care for patients, families, and staff. They are available 24/7 to provide care under the most difficult of circumstances and to provide for spiritual needs on request. We are also proud to be one of the few fortunate hospitals to continue to have Red Cross "Gray Lady" volunteers at SLVRMC. This distinctive volunteer group, established through the American Red Cross, provides more patient oriented services. Our longest serving Gray Lady completed 45 years of service at age 91, and continues to cherish the memories of her time at SLVRMC today at age 94. We honor volunteers at SLVRMC and invite you to contact us for more information on volunteer opportunities. Warm Wishes, |
