AUDIOLOGY DEPARTMENT - Fit & Repair

Fitting Procedures
If you decide to purchase an aid, it will require an average of three visits to our office. On your first visit, individualized counseling will be provided to match your communication needs, cosmetic desires and budget with current available technology.

An impression will be made of your ear. From that, an individually fitting ear mold or hearing aid will be manufactured.

On the second visit, you will be fitted with our hearing aid)s) which have been selected specifically to fit your hearing impairment. At this time, you will be instructed on the care and use of your hearing aids.

After wearing the aid(s) for approximately one to two weeks you will return to our office for a third visit to recheck your hearing and the fit of the aid(s). A six-month check-up is also recommended. You are always welcome to call at any time to schedule an appointment to review any problems you may be having.

Charges
Hearing aid dispensary charges do not include the fees for the physician's examination nor the initial hearing test.

Refunds
All hearing aids are fit with a thirty (30) day satisfaction period. If you find that you are unable to derive benefit from the use of the aid, and return it in good condition within 30 days of the original fitting, the purchase price will be refunded minus a few per aid for professional services.

Hearing Aid Repair
If your hearing aid needs servicing or repair, please call our office for an appointment. By making an appointment we can provide you with better service and reduce your waiting time in our office.

If you are unable to bring your aid into the office package it carefully and mail it to the office (please insure your package at the post office) with a note explaining the problem.

Hearing aids requiring more than minor adjustments will be sent to the manufacturer for repair. Most repairs will be accomplished within two weeks. Hearing aids still under warranty will not require a fee to be repaired. If your hearing aid is out of warranty, a fee for the repair will be quoted to you before it is sent out for repair.
