Adult Cardiology offers a full spectrum of clinical services, including catheterization, balloon angioplasty, balloon valvuloplasty, coronary atherectomy and intracoronary stents, peripheral vascular intervention, electrophysiologic testing, implantation of the automatic defibrillator and catheter ablation of arrhythmias.

Pediatric Cardiology

Diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired heart disease in children and young adults. Our board-certified pediatric cardiologists use the latest in care, including cardiac catheterizations. Endoscopic procedures pediatric gastroenterologists perform include esophagogastroduodenoscopy and colonoscopy. Pediatric gastroenterologists also treat bleeding, swallowing problems, or other problems encountered in the intestines. " CDHNF

Vascular Medicine

"The vascular system is the body's network of blood vessels. It includes the arteries, veins and capillaries that carry blood to and from the heart. Problems of the vascular system are common and can be serious. Arteries can become thick and stiff, a problem called arteriosclerosis. Blood clots can clog vessels and block blood flow to the heart or brain. Weakened blood vessels can burst, causing bleeding inside the body.

You are more likely to have vascular disease as you get older. Other factors that make vascular disease more likely include

  • Family history of vascular or heart diseases
  • Pregnancy
  • Illness or injury
  • Long periods of sitting or standing still
  • Any condition that affects the heart and blood vessels, such as diabetes or high cholesterol
  • Smoking
  • Obesity

Losing weight, eating healthy foods, being active and not smoking can help vascular disease. Other treatments include medicines and surgery." (MedlinePlus)

Pulmonary Medicine

"A pulmonary disease specialist, is a physician who possesses specialized knowledge and skill in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary (lung) conditions and diseases. Pulmonology is classified as an internal medicine subspecialty. Because of the variety of clinical problems encountered, knowledge of internal medicine and other specialties is necessary. Some of the conditions they treat are: "(The Pulmonology Channel)

  • Asthma
  • Bronchitis
  • Chronic Couth
  • COPD
  • Cystic Fibrosis
  • Sinusitis
  • Sleep Apnea
  • Pleural Effusion

Maternal Fetal Gynecology

"For women experiencing high-risk pregnancies, these physicians provide special care. Their patients include women with serious medical conditions, such as asthma, high blood pressure, kidney transplants, and diabetes. They also care for women whose pregnancies are complicated by multiple gestations, premature labor, or other high-risk conditions. These specialists examine, counsel, and help in planning the future pregnancies of women who have medical conditions which might complicate their pregnancies and women who have had previous pregnancies with unfavorable outcomes.  This may include targeted ultrasound, antenatal testing, prenatal and genetic diagnostic services."
