When you experience a possible life-threatening situation, minutes matter. That's why the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center is proud to be an accredited Level IV Trauma Center with zero deficiencies according to our 2011 Trauma Survey.

The 47,000 people in the Valley rely on our hospital to provide outstanding emergency room services. We're equipped to provide comprehensive emergency medical services to patients suffering traumatic injuries including motor vehicle accidents, falls, and assaults.

We provide:

  • Board Certified Physicians on-site 24/7
  • Trauma Surgeons
  • Registered Nurse Care: all nurses are ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nurse Critical Care) and ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Core Curriculum) certified
  • Lab and imaging services... 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Ambulance Services

ambulanceOur team of 10 Paramedics and 3 EMTs provide services for Alamosa County. Annually, our team answers approximately 2,400 calls.

The Alamosa Ambulance District has four ambulances, with the most recent added in 2011.
