Dr. Kjell Benson went to medical school at the University of Iowa and completed residency at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado. Prior to moving to Alamosa, he practiced in Wyoming where he gained extensive experience in rural broad-spectrum medicine. Prior to medical school he taught for Outward Bound guiding youth-at-risk mountaineering expeditions, and still enjoys adventuring in the mountains around the Valley.
